At the bottom of this page, and downloadable here is a map of recommended places to stay in London. It is based on tube stops.
Red circles are relevant train stations, Heathrow for flying and Liverpool Street & Kings Cross Station for Norwich.
Blue/green stars are recommended places that should be quieter.
Yellow/orange stars are recommended places that might be a bit more happening.
This is bias to places we have lived/frequented. So that is not to say anywhere not recommended is ‘bad’, we just aren’t sure. Please feel free to show us individual dwellings for location approval (i.e. don't send a list, just 1 or 2 if you have questions). If you find a really good deal on an airbnb in very central London that seems to good to be true, please make sure there are reviews already.
Most tourist things are fairly central. We recommend you check the tube stations near the places you want to go. Here is a top 10 list generated by AI. You can search for tube stations on this widget, but remember the Elizabeth line to Heathrow is not on here!
